Periodically, the Board of Trustees and the Head of School identify building projects or programs requiring large sums of money to implement. Major gifts to these projects may be pledged over a number of years. Capital campaign gifts are tax deductible and are specifically targeted for advancing special programs.
Since 1959, donors have given, through capital contributions, all of the land upon which the Academy rests, as well as the academic and athletic facilities that have been built. Capital campaigns have also provided the funds necessary to reconfigure the Academy facilities as the needs of the school changed through the years.
The Head of School and the Board of Trustees inform families about the Academy's capital needs, future building projects and other projects requiring an organized campaign. Other opportunities may be tailored to match a donor's interests with a need at the Academy. Tax-deductible capital campaign gifts remain vital to our school's continuing success.
