Two Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Abby Baird and Gradyn Holbrook were named National Merit Semifinalists

Abby Baird and Gradyn Holbrook have been named Semifinalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program!

These academically talented high school seniors will continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered next spring. According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), approximately 1.5 million entrants from more than 21,000 high schools entered the 2021 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). Roughly 16,000 students qualified as semifinalists. To qualify as a semifinalist, a student must exhibit an exemplary academic record, submit a scholarship application and earn a qualifying score on the SAT.
