Information Technology Specialist

Summary of the Position: Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Information Technology Specialist is responsible for helping ensure that the school has the technology needed to help our students, faculty, and staff succeed in achieving the school’s mission.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and support education productivity platforms including G Suite for Education, Office 365, and other tools.
  • Configure, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Mac and iOS devices for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Manage and support a multi-campus network.
  • Configure and manage student devices using MDM.
  • Manage a multi-campus VoIP-based phone network.
  • Manage a multi-campus access control security system.
  • Create technical training documentation and media for educational and productivity platforms.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Technology on annual technology procurement and device refreshment cycles.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Technology on sharing educational and productivity practices with school stakeholders.
  • Conduct faculty professional development and proactively research new training opportunities.
  • Keep informed of the latest technology as it relates to the school and its mission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; majors in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology or related field a plus.
  • 1+ year(s) of managing a wireless network and supporting mobile devices experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of supporting audio/visual equipment experience.
  • Basic IT certifications a plus: CompTIA A+, Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.
