Parents of the Academy
Single Hero

The Parents of the Academy (POA) is MA's community of parent volunteers who partner closely with school faculty and staff to enrich the student experience. Every dollar raised goes right back to Montgomery Academy. The POA helps support and organize initiatives that directly benefit our most precious assets: students, teachers, and families.
The goals of the POA:
-
To inspire our parents to get involved as we work together to provide the very educational opportunities for our children.
-
To encourage parents to generously share their time, talents, and expertise in support of programs, projects, and financial efforts—strengthening the connection between students, faculty, families, and the broader community.
-
To promote the Academy by supporting academic excellence and nurturing strong character and good citizenship.
The POA supports many school events, traditions, and initiatives including STEAMfest, supplemental curriculums to enrich the student experience, the annual author visit, Lower School class parties, free booster badges and other fun items to enhance school spirit, florals for Homecoming and Commencement, and more.
The POA also hosts and supports some of MA’s favorite traditions like the Halloween Carnival, Homecoming, Eagle Day, Spring Family Fun Night, and the Eagle Gala. Whether you volunteer, buy T-shirts, or support an event, there is a place for you in POA. Please reach out to your parent panel representative for more information about how to get involved or complete the form below.
