Upper School HEART members with donations for Brantwood

Each year, The Montgomery Academy reviews area charitable organizations and selects one to partner with as the MA community’s primary focus for fundraising and volunteer efforts. As part of this process, MA has cultivated lasting relationships with local charitable organizations, and students realize how their public service efforts make a difference not only to a specific organization but to the community as a whole. In the past, MA has partnered with the Salvation Army, Montgomery Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Magic Moments, Service Dogs of Alabama, Friendship Mission, Children's Hospital, and currently, Common Ground Montgomery.

H.E.A.R.T., the Upper School’s student-led community service club open to grades 9-12, supports MA’s community service efforts through fundraising and volunteering for River Region organizations as the need arises. In addition to coordinating the Brantwood Children’s Home Holiday project, H.E.A.R.T. provides volunteers for the Track & Field Team-sponsored “Race to Fight Hunger” food drive that benefits the Montgomery Area Food Bank and coordinates MA’s annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign project.
