Afterschool Programs
MA+ (K-4th Grade) and MS+ (5th-8th Grade) are the afterschool programs available to MA families from 3:10 - 5:30 PM every day. The basic schedule for MA+ and MS+ includes an energizing snack, supervised homework with special individual help and encouragement of organizational and study skills. Students also engage in active play, quiet games, and other indoor and outdoor activities.
In addition, we offer several Afterschool Enrichment Classes throughout the year for students at the lower and middle school. Lower school families can learn more about these offerings at the LS Afterschool Fair on Meet Your Teacher Day and middle school families will have information sent home. We do not allow "drop-in" usage or allow days to be swapped at MA+ or MS+. If parents need flexibility they should register for all five days. MA+ and MS+ will follow the school calendar.
Afterschool Enrichment Classes
Afterschool enrichment classes provide additional opportunities for your child to engage in extracurricular activities offered by faculty or outside instructors who conduct these classes at the school. Enrichment classes are open to Lower and Middle School students and can be taken in conjunction with MA+ and MS+. However, enrollment in MA+ or MS+ is not required to participate. Afterschool enrichment classes begin after Labor Day. Cost varies by class and payment is made directly to the instructor.

The deadline to register for any afterschool enrichment class beginning in September is August 25, 2024.

| BALLET Students will focus on the fundamentals of classical ballet technique and etiquette. The class emphasizes proper placement, vocabulary, developing strength, building endurance, and increasing flexibility through center and across the floor exercises. Students will showcase their progress in May with a mini performance. |

Students will learn the basics of self-defense and progress to higher levels with experience. They also practice and are rewarded for the mental skills of self-control, discipline, and respect among others. Fleming Martial Arts has worked with MA students for the last 30 years. |
