2. Speech & Debate has won 18 State Championships, which not only gives MA the most in the State, it also has MA ranking third in Overall State Championships in the United States.

1. With 76 State Championships MA holds the record for the most championships in the River Region.
2. 72% of our students in grades 7-12 participate on an athletic team at the Academy. With 33 teams, there is something for every athlete.

Merit Based Scholarships

Hanson Luquire Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to new students in rising 6th grade through 12th grade students. The value of the scholarship is $8000/year and continues until graduation. The priority deadline to apply is May 1, 2023.

Tankersley Scout Scholarship
This scholarship is open to a Scout who has earned, or is on the verge of earning, the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA. Any prospective or current student of The Montgomery Academy is welcome to apply. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2023.

Alabama Accountability Act

Renaissance Scholarship
The Montgomery Academy partners with the Renaissance Scholarship-Granting Organization. In order to qualify for a scholarship through Renaissance, a family must complete the admissions process for enrollment as well as the Renaissance Scholarship. A family may qualify for both the Renaissance Scholarship and TailorMAde Tuition.
