Visual Arts Faculty
With nearly 100 years of collective teaching experience, our gifted
instructors, Camilla Armstrong (US), Connie Deal (US), Amanda Townsend
(MS), and BeeLee Tullos (LS), are dedicated individuals who are
passionate about sharing their gifts, talents, knowledge and experience
with their students. They are committed to their own professional and
artistic development, pursuing numerous opportunities to improve their
best practices in teaching and art-making, staying aware of the current
and evolving trends in the visual arts and education. This pursuit of
excellence has consistently been exemplified by our student recognitions
as front runners in local, state, regional & national art
competitions, as well as through the national and statewide recognition
our instructors have received for excellence in teaching. Our
instructors support the local and state arts community by presenting at
conferences, holding offices in their professional organizations,
creating and exhibiting their art, sponsoring shows, designing
collaborative art educator programs, and serving as guest
artists/teachers. The MA Visual Art faculty highly values community
involvement and reaching out to the underserved through the arts. We
seek to instill in our students this desire for giving back, by
encouraging and providing opportunities for student involvement in the
community.
