Grades 5-12 Admissions

The Montgomery Academy Middle School program is built to afford students the opportunity to explore a range of content areas with pedagogical methods that meet their needs. We follow best practices of teaching and learning in curriculum and instruction, and meet the needs of our unique age range. Our faculty regularly engages in professional development and curricular revision to model the experience of lifelong learning for our students.

The Upper School prepares students for college and for their lives as adults. Students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of courses in all academic areas, including diverse offerings in STEM and in the visual and performing arts. Numerous Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered in many subject areas help students earn early college credits. Throughout the Upper School academic experience, students build important writing, critical thinking and problem-solving skills that they will need in college and in their careers.

Our co-curricular activities in community service, the arts, clubs and athletics play an integral role in developing character and leadership abilities in our students. MA students have the opportunity to travel across the state, region and country to participate in off-campus competitions and they have been recognized for their achievements at a state, regional and national level.

Experience a Day at MA: We welcome prospective students to join us for a Shadow Day if they would like to experience "a day in the life at MA!" We invite them to spend the day with a current MA student who shares their interests and attend classes, explore our campus, and enjoy lunch with classmates. Shadow Days are scheduled through the Admissions Office. Please email admissions@montgomeryacademy.org to arrange a time for your child to shadow a student at MA. Students may join for a full or half day, or even just for lunch!
